asian arowana.... serious inquiry.

hello fellow ljreaders and real life friends,


i just moved to a new pad and want to get a large aquarium and i really really want to get an asian arowana. They r illegal to sell in the US. i just think these fishes are amazing. if anyone has any connections to some 'underground' dealers around the los angeles area, please email me bcchen888@hotmail.com ; im willing to pay a good amount too ( i know im sounding crazy)... i know the red are the hardest to find but i will settle for silver.

O ya, if i decide to do a houswarming, anyone bringing this fish will b my best friend.jk... but joking aside, im serious in buying one of these suckers so please contact me if u guys know anyone that deals them... i know this is a longshot but hey, cant hurt to try...

nope. illegal in US. trust me i tried hard on the internet. no such luck. i need to know some oldman in chinatown that has some underground aquarium of these fishes.

they're huge and they look like dragons. chinese superstition says they bring good luck etc... but that's not the real reason i want it. i just think it looks damn cool and would look nice in an aquarium. hehhe

billy, all u have to do is show this pic to an asian fish store and they'll find it for u at a low cost. Or u can also purchase those smaller ones (babies) and they grow supppper fast. Plus if u buy it from a fish store, they give u free lil fishies to feed it. Check the 626 area: alhambra, san gabriel, monterey park...

If you were on the East I can get you one easily. Not sure if they're deliverable via FedEx/UPS?

i dunno, if caught, the feds might get involved. its so silly that they're not allowed in the US. o well. i swear its like im freakin askin for illegal drugs. its just a fish... hehe

my aunt has a ton of those silver arowanas and she lives in socal. lemme ask her...but yea, since youre looking this hard, id rather get the red one... its so much prettier!

i saw some monstrous arowanas at the chicago museum.
like 3 feet or so...

my brother's dad had a few arowanas back in the day.
